Professional Experience

2005 - Present  Vieques Verde

President. Provide architectural and construction services for new residential and small commercial construction

1999 - 2005  North Shore Design/Build Corp.

President. Design/build activities for residential and commercial clients. Provided design, management, and construction services for new construction, remodel, and tenant buildout

1995 - 1999   BAB Systems, Inc.

Director of Facilities. Created department for the purposes of selecting sites, designing stores, contracting construction, and managing the finished facilities.

  • Responsible for the site selection, design, construction, and maintenance of all corporately owned Big Apple Bagels, My Favorite Muffins, and Brewster’s Coffee facilities throughout the US
  • Provided the design and construction support, as corporate architect, for all licensed and franchisee owned facilities, totaling approximately 300 units globally
  • Managed design and construction of corporate office expansion and store remodeling & renovation

1985 - 1995  CADD Midwest Corp./CADD Midwest Services Corp.

President. Founded a multifunction company to develop software and to provide training, services, and management consulting for architectural and facility management automation applications.

  • Expanded company into design/build of residential, retail bakeries, coffee shops, and restaurants.
  • Provided design and general contracting construction services to Big Apple Bagels corporate and to franchisees
  • Assembled and managed team to develop nationally marketed software programs for real estate, retail store design, shop drawing generation, and facility management

1982 - 1985  Sigma Design, Inc.

Senior Account Representative. Marketing, sales, and consulting relating to the implementation and management of turnkey CADD systems for architects, engineers, and facility managers.

1975 - 1981  Paul H. Lutton & Associates

President. Established and managed multifunction organization providing architectural services, construction, real estate development, R&D of energy conservation products.

  • Developed residential projects from vacant land through subdivision
  • Designed and built custom homes - featured in House Beautiful and Sunset publications

US Air Force Experience

1973 USAF Space & Missile Systems Organization Contract Manager. Organized teams using Air Force and government service personnel to evaluate contractor proposals and manage the accepted contracts.

1969 - 1973 Pilot & Maintenance Supervisor. Participated in flight operations in a variety of roles while living in Japan and other far eastern countries.
